If you struggle to tolerate bread, then these turkey BLT wraps can be a lifesaver! Just like a normal BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) but wrapped in slices of cooked turkey instead of bread. Because these wraps do not use bread, you can enjoy them alongside your favourite or best tolerated starchy carb. You could even enjoy a few of these turkey BLT wraps alongside a bag of crisps for a quick and easy packed lunch.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices cooked turkey
  • 6 rashers smoked streaky bacon cooked and cooled
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 3 lettuce leaves romaine, iceberg, or round lettuce
  • 3 tsp mayonnaise
  • ½ medium avocado pitted and sliced (optional)

optional seasoning

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 pinch garlic granules
  • 1 pinch onion granules

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon to your liking, then set aside to cool
  • Lay out a slice of cooked turkey (like you would a small wrap) and then smear over a tsp of mayonnaise
  • Add 1 lettuce leaf, some avocado, 2 rashers of bacon and slices of tomato
  • Roll the turkey like you would a wrap, then repeat with each slice of turkey
  • Add the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic & onion granules to a small dish and mix together. Sprinkle over each turkey BLT to add a bit of extra flavour and crunch
